Gates of Lake Mburo National Park: Lake Mburo National Park is the smallest national park in Uganda. The park is situated in the Western region of Uganda, Lake Mburo is a relatively young lake that was formed around 10,000 years ago, it covers an area of approximately 260 square kilometers.  Lake Mburo National Park is a home of different animals including buffaloes, elands, impalas, waterbucks, leopards, oribi, reedbucks, warthogs, zebras, giraffes, topi, hyenas, hippos, bush pigs and over 350 bird species. The best time to visit Lake Mburo National Park

The park can be visited anytime throughout the year though the best time is during the dry season also known as the peak season in the months of June to September and December to February because during this time there is less or little rainfall in the park therefore game drive and hiking trails will be dry and passable.  During the dry season, the landscape is clear in the park which allows you to have great views of different animals and also many animals will gather around the water bodies to drink water which gives you an opportunity to view different wildlife species and take beautiful pictures.
