2022 Lake Mburo national park entrance fees; Entrance fee is the amount of money charged by Uganda wildlife Authority a government body in charge of tourism to any visitor before accessing Lake Mburo national park. Lake Mburo national park is one of the smallest protected areas located in western part of Uganda in Kiruhura district. The park covers a total area of 370 square kilometers and harbors different mammal species including buffaloes, waterbucks, leopards, impala, zebras, giraffes, oribi, hippos, hyenas, Reedbucks about more than 350 bird species. Lake Mburo national park offers interesting activities like game drives, boat cruise, nature walks, sport fishing among others.

Park entrance permits for Lake Mburo national park are given at Nshara and Sanga entrance gates and before you are allowed to access the park, you are required to present a valid identification card which is used to determine whether you are a foreign non resident, foreign resident or east African citizen.

Adults

Foreign non residents are charged 40 USD per person, 30 USD per person for foreign residents and 20,000 UGX per person for East African citizens.

Children

Foreign non residents are charged 20 USD per person, 10 USD per person for foreign residents and 5,000 UGX per person for East African citizens.

Ugandan pupils or students in groups are charged 3,000 UGX per student

Tertiary institutions or universities are charged 5,000 UGX per person

Uganda wildlife clubs are charged 2,000 UGX per person

Foreign residents are charged 350 USD per person and 150,000 UGX per person for East African citizens

Couple

Foreign resident couples are charged 500 USD and 200 UGX for East African couples

Annual corporate pass

Annual corporate pass applies to all protected areas for foreign residents in Uganda and East African citizens only, vehicle entrance paid separately. Foreign residents require a work permit that is valid for one year in order to qualify for an annual pass.

Foreign non resident minibuses are charged 50 USD entry fees, 15 USD for foreign residents and 30,000 UGX for East African citizens

Pick-ups

Foreign non resident pick-ups are charged 50 USD entry fees, 15 USD for foreign residents and 30,000 UGX for East African citizens

Tour company vehicle and 4 wheel drive

Foreign non resident tour company vehicles are charged 150 USD entry fees, 15 USD for foreign residents and 30,000 UGX for East African citizens

Over landers

Foreign non resident over landers are charged 150 USD entry fees, 50 USD for foreign residents and 100,000 UGX for East African citizens.

Buses and Lorries

Foreign non resident buses and Lorries are charged 150 USD entry fees, 75 USD for foreign residents and 150,000 UGX for East African citizens.

School buses

Foreign resident school buses are charged 25 USD entry fees and 50,000 UGX for East African citizens.

Boats up to 15 seater for foreign non residents are charged 50 USD, 25 USD for foreign residents and 50,000 UGX for East African citizens

Launches over 15 seater for foreign non residents are charged 100 USD, 75 USD for foreign residents and 150,000 UGX for East African citizens.

Boats are charged 10,000 UGX parking fees per day.

Aircrafts landing fees

Glinders, microlights for foreign non residents is charged 10 USD, 10 USD for foreign residents and 20,000 UGX for East African citizens

Up to 3 seater aircraft for foreign non residents is charged 20 USD, 20 USD for foreign residents and 40,000 UGX for East African citizens

4 to 6 seater aircraft for foreign non residents is charged 30 USD, 30 USD for foreign residents and 60,000 UGX for East African citizens

7 to 14 seater aircraft for foreign non residents is charged 40 USD, 40 USD for foreign residents and 80,000 UGX for East African citizens

15 to 20 seater aircraft for foreign non residents is charged 50 USD, 50 USD for foreign residents and 100,000 UGX for East African citizens

21 seats and above aircraft for foreign non residents is charged 60 USD, 60 USD for foreign residents and 120,000 UGX for East African citizens

Helicopter for foreign non residents is charged 100 USD per landing, 125 USD for foreign residents and 250,000 UGX for East African citizens.

Landing fees exclude entry fees payable by passengers and Pilots en-route do not pay entry fees if they spend less than 2 hours in the park.

Launch cruise or motorboats

Big and small boats for foreign non residents are charged 30 USD, 30 USD for foreign residents and 30,000 UGX for East African citizens

Private guided game drives

Only pre-registered vehicles will undertake the night game drives in Lake Mburo national park and use of Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA) guides is mandatory.

Foreign non residents pay 20 USD per vehicle, 20 USD for foreign residents and 20,000 UGX for East African citizens

Night game drives
