Lake Mburo national park can be accessed by road transport which takes about 4 hours’ drive. The national park has two main gates that is the Sanga and Nshara gates. The Sanga gate is about 13 kilometers from the town Centre and can branch off from Sanga trading Centre while the Nshara gate is about 5 kilometers from the main road when driving from Kampala.

You can also access Lake Mburo national park by public means of transport where you will board a bus from Kampala bus park to Sanga town and then hire a private vehicle or taxi to the park headquarters. When using road transport means to Lake Mburo national park, it’s advisable to use a 4WD safari vehicle as the roads are rough and sometimes muddy and slippery especially during the rainy season.
