Which Tourist Attraction Is Found In Bwindi Impenetrable National Park? Bwindi Impenetrable National park is located in the Southwestern region in Kanungu and this national park is famously known as the best destination to travel to for a great Gorilla trekking experience in the country. This national park was established as a national park and named as a UNESCO World Heritage in 1994. Bwindi Impenetrable National park is one of the smallest national parks in Uganda hence covering a total surface area of about 321 square kilometers standing at an elevated area of about 1,160 meters and 2,607 meters above the sea level and it is seen as a home to over 120 mammal species such as; baboons, monkeys, chimpanzees and around 400 plant species covered by a green lush vegetation.

Buhoma sector.
Buhoma sector is located within the Northern part of the park and is considered as the most visited sector compared to the other sectors. In addition, within a sector tourists can be able to trek gorilla groups like; Mubara gorilla family, which is famously known to be the first group that was habituated in 1992 and it, was named after the Mubare hills where the first gorilla group was spotted. More so, this gorilla group is made up of about five members, which is led by a dominant silverback named Kanyonyi. There is also the Habinyanja gorilla family which derived its name from a Rukiga word, which means water, and group is made up of 13 members which include; Makara, Maraya, Kisho, Binyonko, Rugyendi, Elsa, Hamusini, Gacyaro, Bangenyi and it is led by dominant silverback named as Makara. More so, Rushegura gorilla group which has around 19 mountain gorillas, which is led by Mwirima.
Nkuringo sector.
Nkuringo sector is located in the Southern region of the park and it was formed in 1997. And this group is made up of over 12 gorilla families but in the beginning it had around 17 members but later they reduced to 12 members and they include; 2 adult females, 1 silverback, 3 juveniles, 2 infants, 3 juveniles. In addition, some of the groups that are found within this sector include; Bikingi gorilla family, which has over 15 members, Bushaho gorilla family group that is led by a dominant silverback, named Bahati and many others.
Rushaga sector.
Rushanga sector is located within the Southern region in the park and it is considered to be one of the most visited sectors and it hosts large numbers of mountain gorillas therefore the gorilla families in this group include; Nshongi gorilla family, Kahugye gorilla group, Bweza which consists around 23 mountain gorillas, Mishaya gorilla group among others.
Ruhija sector.
Ruhija sector is located within the Eastern region of Bwindi Impenetrable national park and it is made up of about three gorilla families, which include; Bitukura gorilla family, which is made up of around 14 members, Oruzogo gorilla family, and Kyaguliro gorilla group, which consists around 20 individuals.
