7 Days Best of Uganda Safari
enjoy a 7 days best of Uganda safari entailing wildlife experience at lake Mburo national park, later to queen Elizabeth national park for another wildlife tour and finally head to Bwindi forest national park for a gorilla trekking experience
Day 1: Transfer to Lake Mburo national park
Meet our company representative/guide and transfer to Lake Mburo, you will have a stopover at the Equator where you will take time to take pictures and perform an experiment, there after proceed to enter the park with great views of big herds of zebras, Impalas, elands and other ungulates. The park is also an excellent place for bird viewing. Dinner and overnight stay at Mihingo lodge (Luxury), Rwakobo Rock (Mid-range), Eagles Nest Lodge (Budget)
Day 2: Morning game drive and boat cruise
After an early breakfast, explore the park’s beauty with a morning game drive in search of animals that can be found like the Zebras, Elands, Impalas, Topis, and Buffaloes.
Later connect to you lodge for lunch before heading for your boat trip on lake Mburo to explore water animals including crocodiles, hippos and different bird species like Fish Eagle and the rare shoebill stork. Return to your lodge for a relaxed evening, dinner and overnight stay as above
Day 3: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park and afternoon boat cruise
After an early breakfast, drive out of the park to embark to Queen Elizabeth national park, arrive early afternoon and connect for your afternoon boat cruise along Kazinga channel where you will get an opportunity to see a number of bird species, elephants and buffalos, hippos and crocodiles.
Then connect to your lodge to relax, dinner and overnight stay at Mweya safari lodge (Luxury), Park View Lodge (Midrange), Pumba Safari cottages (Budget)
Day 4: Morning game drive and transfer to Bwindi
After an early breakfast, explore the park’s beauty with a morning game drive in search of animals that can be found like the Buffaloes, Elephants, giraffes, the tree climbing lions, leopards and different Antelope species. After 2-3 hours game drive, have lunch and drive out of the park to connect Bwindi forest in Kisoro district, arrive late afternoon and connect to your lodge to relax, dinner and overnight stay at Mahogany Springs lodge (Luxury)/Ichumbi Gorilla lodge
Day 5: Gorilla trekking experience
Have very early morning breakfast and drive to find the park offices for briefing about Mountain Gorilla trekking by the park warden then connect to the forest to search for the gorillas. The time taken is usually between 2-8 hours depending on the movement of the gorillas. Meeting the gorillas unexpectedly is one of the most captivating lifetime experiences. You will have a chance to observe and take pictures at very close range. After an hour with the long-awaited gorillas, your ranger guide will lead you back to the starting point where your driver will readily be waiting to transfer you back to the lodge for a restful evening. Have dinner overnight stay at lodge as above.
Day 6: Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi-boat trip
After morning breakfast, you will transfer to Kabale district to Lake Bunyonyi-the second deepest lake in Africa with the depth between 44m and 900m deep and width of about 7 to 25kms. You will cross to Uganda via Katuna boarder; this is a 4-5 hours drive through the rolling hills of both countries. Upon arrival at Lake Bunyonyi with great scenic views, connect for a boat ride/ canoe paddle and also take a walk visiting the main islands including the community. The islands at the lake have great history that you will love to listen. Dinner and overnight stay at Acardia Cottages/Bunyonyi Eco Resort (mid-range), Lake Bunyonyi Overview Resort (budget)
Day 7: Transfer to Kampala
Wake up early, have breakfast and proceed for your transfer back to Kampala/Entebbe for 7-8 hours drive, en route, lunch in Mbarara town and Equator. Arrive at either hotel/connect to Entebbe Airport for your evening flight back home.
