10 Days of Spice in Uganda
The 10 Days Spice of Uganda lets you explore the best of Uganda’s destinations with rewarding experiences, including game drives, primate trekking, and nature walks, to mention but a few.
Day 1: Transfer to Murchison falls
Upon arrival/depending on your location in Kampala, we will pick you up and transfer you to Murchison Falls National Park via Masindi; you will have a stopover at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for a rhino tracking experience and lunch.
Later, proceed to enter the park. Dinner and overnight stay at Paraa safari lodge (luxury), Fort Murchison lodge (mid-range), and Red Chill rest camp (budget)
Day 2: Delta game drive and afternoon
After morning breakfast, you will embark on a game drive at the delta and expect to see various animals, including elephants, Rothschild giraffes, buffaloes, lions, hartebeest, Uganda kobs, oribis, and waterbucks. After the drive, you will return to the lodge for lunch.
In the afternoon, go for a boat cruise along the Nile, which will give you an exciting panoramic view at the bottom of the mighty Murchison Falls. You will encounter crocodiles, hippos, and birds on the riverbanks, like kingfishers, cormorants and bee-eaters.
You will then hike up to find the falls through Baker’s Trail and also be able to stand at Baker’s Stone (brings you closer to the bottom of the falls).
This hike is a bit tough, but it’s fascinating, as you will enjoy seeing the falls at different points and finally, when you reach the top of the falls, you will be amazed and eventually forget about the tough hike.
After spending a good time at the top of the falls, you will meet your driver, who will transfer you back to your lodge. Dinner and overnight stay at as above
Day 3: Transfer to Kibale national park
After early morning breakfast, you will drive out of the park to embark on a full-day transfer to Kibale National Park via Hoima with lunch. Arrive in the park late in the evening and check into your lodge for a restful evening, dinner and overnight stay at Kyaninga lodge (luxury), Chimps Nest (mid-range), or Chimpanzee guest house (budget)
Day 4: Chimpanzee tracking and transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park
After early morning breakfast at the lodge, connect to Kibale Forest for your chimpanzee tracking experience with your packed snacks and water.
You will first report at the park headquarters for a briefing before entering the forest for the activity.
During your tracking, expect to see a lot of primate species like chimpanzees and monkeys and other animals like the forest elephants, buffaloes, bush pigs and duikers, warthogs, and reptiles as well as a colorful variety of butterflies. Return to the Lodge for lunch.
After lunch, you will be transferred to Queen Elizabeth National Park, Uganda’s second-largest national park. This is a 3-hour drive from Kibale Forest National Park. You will have a stopover at the equator and take pictures, then proceed to the park. R

Day 5: Kisenyi game drive and Kazinga channel boat cruise
Early in the morning after breakfast, you will set out for the morning game drive in search for early risers in the Kasenyi area. The park has a diverse ecosystem of grassy plains, rivers, crater lakes, forests, swamps and lakes. These are a home to various types of wildlife (big 4) and a game drive in Queen Elizabeth will reward you with views of animals such as lions, leopards, forest hogs, buffalos, elephants, waterbuck, Uganda Kob and other types of antelopes.
Return to your lodge for lunch and after, go for a 3-hour launch cruise along the Kazinga Channel and into Lake Edward. This cruise will let you pass through a place of the highest concentration of hippos and you may also see many animals drinking at the water’s edge. The cruise also offers a good platform for photography, bird watching and games.
Dinner and an overnight stay at the lodge as above.
Day 6: Transfer to Bwindi national park
After breakfast, transfer to Bwindi via the Ishasha sector for the tree-climbing lions, then later proceed to Bwindi, home to the remaining mountain gorillas in the world. Arrive late afternoon at the park and check in to your lodge, where you will rest, dinner, and stay overnight at
Mahogany Springs lodge (Luxury)/Ichumbi Gorilla lodge
Day 7: Gorilla trekking experience
Have a very early morning breakfast and drive to find the park offices for a briefing about mountain gorilla trekking by the park warden, then connect to the forest to search for the gorillas.
The time taken is usually between 2 and 8 hours depending on the movement of the gorillas. Meeting the gorillas unexpectedly is one of the most captivating lifetime experiences.
You will have a chance to observe and take pictures at very close range. After an hour with the long-awaited gorillas, your ranger guide will lead you back to the starting point where your driver will readily be waiting to transfer you back to the lodge for a restful evening. Have dinner and an overnight stay at the lodge as above.
Day 8: Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi—nature walk
After morning breakfast, you will transfer to the Kabale district to Lake Bunyonyi; it’s believed to be the second deepest lake in Africa, with a depth between 44 m and 900 m and a width of about 7 to 25 km.
You will cross to Uganda via the Katuna border; this is a 4-5 hour drive through the rolling hills of both countries. Upon arrival at Lake Bunyonyi with great scenic views, connect for a boat ride/canoe paddle and also take a walk visiting the main islands, including the community.

Day 9: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park—boat trip
Wake up early and embark on exploring the park’s beauty on a game drive and be able to view wildlife, including the zebras, impalas, buffaloes and other antelope species.
Later in the afternoon, head for your boat trip on Lake Mburo to explore water animals, including crocodiles, hippos and different bird species like fish eagles and the rare shoebill stork.
Return to your lodge for a relaxed evening, dinner and overnight stay at Mihinga lodge (Luxury), Rwakobo Rock (mid-range), or Eagles Nest lodge (budget)
Day 10: Morning game drive and transfer to Kampala
After early morning breakfast, meet your driver for a game drive before embarking on your 5-hour drive to reach Kampala. You will have a stopover for lunch and then also at the Equator if you want to do some shopping. Connect to Entebbe Airport for your afternoon flight back home.
