This 4 Days Lake Mburo & Kibale forest park safari offers both wildlife encounter and Uganda chimpanzee trekking in lake mburo national park and lake kibale forest national park respectively.
Day 1: Pick up and transfer to Kibale national park
Upon arrival/location in Kampala, you will be picked by our company representative/driver who will take you for a brief city tour before embarking on your transfer to Kibale national park-home to the endangered chimpanzees. This is a 4-5 hours drive with en route lunch. On arrival, proceed to check-in your lodge for relaxation as you prepare for the next day fascinating chimpanzee tracking. Dinner and overnight stay at Kyaninga lodge (luxury), Chimpanzee Nest (mid range), Chimpanzee guest house (budget)
Day 2: Primate/Chimpanzee tracking and transfer to Lake Mburo
After early morning breakfast, you will go for chimpanzee tracking at Kibale Forest-one of the best safari destinations in Africa for chimpanzee tracking. The park is a home to a number of forest wildlife, most especially 13 species of primate coupled with chimpanzees. This primate walk will take 2-5 hours searching for the chimpanzees. On finding them, you will spend 1 hour with the chimpanzees while taking pictures.
After tracking, connect back to refresh at the lodge then meet the drive and embark on a 4 hours drive to Lake Mburo national park. Connect to your lodge to have a restful evening, dinner and overnight at Mihinga lodge (Luxury), Rwakobo Rock (mid range), Eagles Nest lodge (budget)
Day 3: Morning game drive and afternoon boat trip
After an early breakfast, explore the park’s beauty with a morning game drive in search of animals that can be found like the Zebras, Elands, Impalas, Topis, and Buffaloes.
Later connect to you lodge for lunch before heading for your boat trip on lake Mburo to explore water animals including crocodiles, hippos and different bird species like Fish Eagle and the rare shoebill stork. Return to your lodge for a relaxed evening, dinner and overnight stay as above
Day 4: Return to Entebbe and Departure
After have breakfast, meet your driver and embark on your 6 hours drive to reach Kampala, however you will have a stopover for lunch then also at the Equator if you want to do some shopping. Connect to Entebbe Airport for your afternoon flight back home.
