5 Days Gorillas & Wildlife Safari
This 5 Days gorillas and wildlife safari gives you an opportunity to trek Uganda gorillas in Bwindi and later wildlife safari at lake Mburo national park .
Day 1: Pick up and transfer to Lake Mburo national park
Meet our company representative/guide and transfer to Lake Mburo, you will have a stopover at the Equator where you will take time to take pictures and perform an experiment, there after proceed to enter the park with great views of big herds of zebras, Impalas, elands and other ungulates. The park is also an excellent place for bird viewing. Dinner and overnight stay at Mihingo lodge (Luxury), Rwakobo Rock (Mid-range), Eagles Nest Lodge (Budget)
Day 2: Morning game drive and Afternoon boat trip
After an early breakfast, explore the park’s beauty with a morning game drive in search of animals that can be found like the Zebras, Elands, Impalas, Topis, and Buffaloes.
Later connect to you lodge for lunch before heading for your boat trip on lake Mburo to explore water animals including crocodiles, hippos and different bird species like Fish Eagle and the rare shoe bill stork. Return to your lodge for a relaxed evening, dinner and overnight stay as above
Day 3: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable national park
After your breakfast, meet with the guide/driver for your transfer to Bwindi forest-home to half of the remaining gorillas in the world, which a 5 hours drive from Lake Mburo. You will have a stopover at Lake Bunyonyi then later connect to Kisoro district to find your lodge. Dinner and overnight stay at Mahogany Springs lodge (Luxury)/Ichumbi Gorilla lodge
Day 4: Gorilla trekking experience
Have very early morning breakfast and drive to find the park offices for briefing about Mountain Gorilla trekking by the park warden then connect to the forest to search for the gorillas. The time taken is usually between 2-8 hours depending on the movement of the gorillas. Meeting the gorillas unexpectedly is one of the most captivating lifetime experiences. You will have a chance to observe and take pictures at very close range. After an hour with the long-awaited gorillas, your ranger guide will lead you back to the starting point where your driver will readily be waiting to transfer you back to the lodge for a restful evening. Have dinner overnight stay at lodge as above.
Day 5: Transfer to Entebbe and departure
After have breakfast, meet your driver and embark on your 7 hours drive to reach Entebbe, however you will have a stopover for lunch then also at the Equator if you want to do some shopping. Connect to Entebbe Airport for your evening flight back home.
