6 Days Murchison Falls & Bwindi Forest Safari takes you to Uganda’s wildlife safari to explore the endangered mountain gorillas in Bwindi Impenetrable forest national park a home to half of the mountain gorillas that are still remaining in the world and also to Murchison falls national park the oldest and largest  park in Uganda that inhabits a wide range of flora and fauna ,animals include elephants ,buffaloes ,lions ,antelopes ,crocodiles ,hippos many more .Our 6 day trip will start with a visit to Murchison Falls National park in north western Uganda  and then later takes you further through the Montana tropical rain forest of Bwindi in south-western region.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Pick up from Entebbe Airport

Pick up from Entebbe Airport: Up on your arrival at Entebbe Airport, you will meet our professional driver guide at the Airport to pick you and drives you to your hotel in Entebbe town or Kampala city for your rest. Have dinner and overnight at Kampala Sheraton Hotel.

Day 2: Transfer to Murchison falls national park-Ziwa Rhino Trekking

Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park: Wake up early, have breakfast at your hotel, our driver guide will pick you up, be briefed about the 6 Days Uganda Tour Murchison Falls and Bwindi National Park. 

Rhino Trekking: After, you set off to north western region of Uganda along Gulu highway with a stopover at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary to experience in Rhino trekking activity which takes 1or 2 hours trekking. Then proceed the journey to Masindi town for your picnic lunch. Continue direct to Murchison falls national park through Kichumbanyobo gate drive to Victoria Nile for ferry crossing to land to the park’s promises. You will be welcomed by lots of baboons around the lodge to stay in, check in at the lodge refresh yourself. Dinner and Overnight.

Day 3: Game Drive and Boat Cruise

Morning Game Drive: You will wake up early, have break with cookies, after your driver will drive you to northern part of the park to have great views of mammals in open savannah grassland. You will be able to come across variety of wild animals because this is best rewarding time for wildlife adventure when even some cats haven’t gone back from their hideouts like hyenas, leopards and other species to be spotted include waterbucks, lions, buffaloes, elephants, Rothschild giraffes, warthogs, bushbucks, antelopes many more. Drive back to the lodge relax as you review on what you saw on your game drive. Have Lunch.

After Boat Cruise: Later on, go to Victoria Nile for boat cruise at the bottom of the Nile, you will be able to cruise near hippos, crocodile, water birds and have great sights of other animals grazing along the shores of the bank. You will as well cruise near to the devil cauldron and be rewarded with powerful waterfall as a nature that attract many travellers who tend to visit the park. You will then get off the boat, climb up to the top of the falls and have spectacular viewing of bubbling waterfalls, enjoy photograph as many as you wish. Go meet your drive there at the top of the falls drives you back to the lodge rest. Have Dinner and Overnight stay in the same lodge you slept in.

Day 4: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park 

Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park: You will wake up early, enjoy your breakfast and check out of the lodge. Go for ferry crossing and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable national park passing via several towns and districts with great rewardable views of country side, scenic landscape, farmers waving for you what such an exciting journey with a stopover for lunch en-route. You will arrive to one of the four gorilla trekking sector such as Buhoma, Ruhija, Nkuringo and Rushanga sector. Check in at the lodge rest. Have Dinner and Overnight stay.

Day 5: Gorilla Trekking

Gorilla Trekking: You awake early on this day, enjoy your breakfast as you get ready for your emotional experience of gorilla trekking in Nkuringo sector an activity which begins early in the morning at 8:00am but before your driver will pick you up from your lodge with your packed lunch box because it can last 2 to 8 hours while trekking this great apes in their nature inhabits. You will have your briefing at the park headquarter about the rules of the gorillas to be followed while in the forest. You will then, meet the ranger to led you to the forest trail head in search for gorillas, as you will be trekking you will have another chance to view other small primates like monkeys, bird life, plant species among others. Once gorillas are found, you will be given one hour to spend with them watching their amazing lifestyle since are said to have 98% human DNA, see them as they play around, feed, grooming, swinging on the trees as well as enjoying beautiful photography. This activity requires only 8 people to engage in it and children below 15 years are not allowed to engage in this incredible life time experience. If time still persist to do another activity, you can go to visit the Batwa people, people who have been here for centuries and their history is quite amazing as they used leave with mountain gorillas in the forest before gazetting into a national park. Back to the lodge for Dinner and Overnight stay in the same lodge you used.

Day 6: Return back to Kampala or Entebbe Airport

Return back to Kampala: Wake up on lazy morning, have breakfast, checkout of the park, drive back to Kampala with a stopover at Igongo culture centre experience the unique culture of Ankole, buy crafts from their craft shop for your remembrance, have lunch. After lunch, we shall drive direct to Kampala a journey that takes 8 to 9 hours’ drive to access Kampala or else you can decide to fly from Entebbe Airport or Kihihi Airstrip near the park which is 1:30hours by charter flight. You will be dropped to your hotel in Kampala or at Entebbe Airport to catch up by your flight.
