Our 6 days Uganda gorillas and wildlife safari from Kigali is an interesting adventure that starts and ends in Kigali Rwanda. The safari will take you to the most interesting destinations in Uganda including Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, which is famously known for harboring the highest number of mountain gorillas, Queen Elizabeth National Park, where you will be able to view variety of animals like buffaloes, lions, leopards, elephants, Uganda kobs, waterbucks, hippos, Nile crocodiles among others during the game drives and boat cruise. The safari will also take you to Lake Bunyonyi which is the deepest Lake in Uganda located in Kabale.

Detailed itinerary
Day 1: Pick up and transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park.
You will be welcomed by our driver guide from Kigali airport or your hotel, have a briefing about the safari and then start the journey to Bwindi impenetrable national park passing via Cyanika border in Kisoro or Katuna border in Kabale. On the way, you will have en-route lunch and enjoy stunning views of the rolling hills, landscape, terraced farmlands, tea and banana plantations among others. Upon arrival, you will check into the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Gorilla trekking experience
After breakfast on the second day, you will meet up with your driver guide to transfer to the park headquarters for a gorilla trekking briefing where after you will be subdivided into groups of 8 people and allocated a park guide. Gorilla trekking in Bwindi impenetrable national park takes about 2 to 7 hours’ drive and during the trek, you will be able to view other wildlife species, primates, bird species among others.
Once the mountain gorillas are found, you will be allowed to spend one hour with them in their habitat, learn about their behaviors, watch them feed, breastfeed, play, groom young ones, take pictures and record videos. After the one hour with the gentle giants, you will return to the starting point where you will be awarded a gorilla trekking certificate and later return to the lodge for an evening relaxation, dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park via Ishasha sector
On the third day, you will have a relaxed breakfast, check out of the lodge and meet up with your driver guide to transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park. You will have a stopover in Ishasha sector for a game drive where you will be able to spot the tree climbing lions and other animals like buffaloes, Uganda kobs, waterbucks, elephants among others. Later have en-route lunch and proceed to Queen Elizabeth national park. Upon arrival, connect to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Morning game drive/Lion tracking experience and boat cruise on Kazinga channel
After an early breakfast, your driver guide will pick you up from the lodge to transfer to the park for a morning game drive or Lion tracking experience where you will be able to spot animals like leopards, lions, hyenas, warthogs, elephants, buffaloes, bushbucks, Uganda kobs, waterbucks among others.
After the game drive, return to the lodge for lunch and later go for an amazing boat cruise on Kazinga channel, a 40 km long water body that connects Lake George and Lake Edward.
During the boat cruise, you will enjoy views of hippos and Nile crocodiles in water, view elephants, buffaloes, antelopes along the shores, water birds like king fishers, hornbills, cormorants, plovers, fish eagles among others. Later drive back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 5: Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi-boat ride
On the fifth day of the safari, you will have breakfast, check out of the lodge and meet up with your driver guide to transfer to Lake Bunyonyi which is the deepest fresh water lake in Kabale. On the way, you will enjoy views of the crater lakes, terraced farmlands, Kigezi hills among others.

Upon arrival, you will check into the lodge for lunch and later go for an interesting boat ride on the later where you will be able to explore the 29 islands, learn about the history of the islands, enjoy great views of the landscape, farmlands, spot aquatic bird species among others.
After the boat ride, you will return to the lodge and spend the rest of the day at leisure. Dinner and overnight.
Day 6: Departure to Kigali
On the last day of the safari, you will have breakfast at leisure, check out of the lodge and meet up with your driver guide to start the journey back to Kigali with en-route lunch on the way. Upon arrival, your driver guide will drop you off at Kigali international airport for your departure flight or drop off at any place of advise.
