Detailed Safari Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer to Gulu Town
You will have breakfast, in one of the hotel in Kampala or Entebbe Airport, our safari driver or guide will pick you up but before driving to Gulu. You’re the driver or guide will first brief you about the tour. Then after, you will set off to Gulu town with a drive to kidepo Valley Nation Park to north Eastern Uganda.
On your way you will have a stopover at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, have a chance of engaging in Rhino trekking before proceeding to Gulu town for your overnight stay. Note that, since the journey from Kampala to Kidepo National park is a long driving hours to access the park, that why we opt for a stop at Gulu town for overnight and break the journey short, a journey that lasts for 7 to 9hours.

Day 2: Transfer to Kidepo Valley National Park& evening game drive
You wake up have morning breakfast, check out of the hotel and transfer to Kidepo Valley National park in North eastern passing through magnificent viewing of rolling hills, trees. Arrive at the park check in to the lodge have lunch as you prepare for your evening afternoon game drive. After go for evening game drive, where you can be able to experience the true African wilderness and encounter number of wild species such as Unique cheetah, herds of elephants, giraffes, buffaloes as well as spotting number of prides of lions that can easily be spotted compared to other National park, a game drive that takes 4 hours and after drive back to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Morning and afternoon Game drives-Kidepo
On your day 3, after morning breakfast, go for morning game drive in savannah plains of Nuras valley where you can be able to view lions, side-striped jackals, leopards, black-backed jackals, spotted hyenas, elephants, Orbs, Burch ell’s zebras, Jackson’s hartebeests, Bush pigs, lesser kadu, Rothschild giraffes defassa waterbucks among others. Back to the lodge for lunch as you get ready for evening game drive.
After lunch and resting drive back to savannah plains of Kidepo valley national park to spot the missing wild animals during the morning game drive, you can be able to spot cheetah, elands, Jackson’s hartebeests, cape buffaloes, bush duskier, Aardwolf, Caracal if it goes beyond night you also have a chance to spot some nocturnal animals like bush baby many more. Day 4: Visit the IK people and Karamojong villages-kidepo
You wake up early have breakfast, drive to Mount Morungole to visit the first origins of people in an area before the Karamojong people settling on this land, where you can meet the smallest ethnic group in Uganda that have a strong root to African Traditional Culture of IK people and interact with them. Return to the lodge have restful afternoon and lunch as you prepare for a visit to Karamojong homesteads.
Later on in the evening go visit the Karamojong homesteads i.e. manyatta. Visiting the Karamojong people, you will have an opportunity to interact with the elders and get to know more about their lifestyle and culture. Through visiting these people, you can as well donate on any kind towards their social welfare. After back to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay to the same lodge you slept in on your first day in kidepo valley national park.
Day 5: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park
You wake up have breakfast, check out of kidepo valley national park and transfer to Murchison Falls National Park a journey that lasts 5 to 6hours in northern Uganda. Arrive at the park to your lodge and be welcomed by many baboons, have lunch
After lunch drive to savannah grassland within the park and be able to spot a variety of mammals such as elephants, waterbuck, giraffes, Uganda kob, buffaloes lions many more.

Day 6: Morning Delta cruise and Evening boat cruise to the bottom of the falls
Wake up have breakfast, drive to jetty point to catch up with morning boat cruise. Along your boat cruise, you can be able to spot number of buffaloes, Jackson’s Hartebeest, elephants, Giraffes, Uganda kob and other animals that usually flock on River Nile to drink water. Not forgetting the several water birds which can be seen while on the boat cruise such the rare shoe bill stork. Return to the lodge for lunch.
After lunch, go back for a magnificent boat cruise which is carried out to upstream to the bottom of the Falls. On your boat you will be filled with many wonders of observing the might River Nile water squeezes to a very narrow gorge which is referred to as the strongest and most powerful falls worldwide. You can as well hike on the top of the falls and take the spectacular view of the falls, enjoy the photos, walk around and after meet your driver there drives you back to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay in the same lodge you slept at Murchison falls national park.
Day 7: Morning Game drive and Nature walk in Kaniyo pabidi forest
Wake up have early breakfast, drive to the park for a morning game drive, you will be able to experience the scenery of the park and seeing several animals such as lions, jackals, Elephants, Leopards, giraffes and also watch Albertine Rift birds. Return to the lodge for lunch, relax or swimming at the lodge.
After lunch go for nature walk in Kaniyo pabidi forest and be able to spot very of bird species such chocolate backed kingfisher, white-thighed Hornbill, you can as well come across primates like Red tailed monkeys, Black and white colored monkeys, chimpanzees among others. Back to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay –Murchison falls.
Day 8: Transfer to Kibale National park
On day 8, you will drive to Kibale Forest national park passing via fort portal town. You will have a stopover in fort portal for lunch and after lunch proceed to Kibale Forest National park a journey that lasts for 4 hours. Arrive at the park and check in to the lodge and have lunch.
After lunch drive to Bigodi wetland walk, a place for birding. Where you can be able to encounter variety of birds such as waxbills, Weavers, Cuckoos, papyrus Gonolek, Hornbills, Kingfishers, Flycatchers among many. Back to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 9: Chimpanzee trekking-Kibale forest
You wake up have early morning breakfast, your driver picks you up from your lodge with packed lunch and drivers you to park’s headquarter at kanyunchu for briefing about the rules of chimpanzees .After briefing meet ranger to led you to forest trailheads in kibale forest as you will be trekking you will have a chance of seeing other primates ,birds ,trees ,vegetation and many more .The trek takes 30 to 7 hours depending on the location of the gorillas .Once gorillas are located ,trekkers are given one hour to observe them while playing ,enjoy to watch their life style as well as photo taking .After trekking return back to the lodge for restful ,dinner and overnight.
Day 10: Transfer to Northern part of Queen Elizabeth National park
Wake have morning breakfast and check out of the park, drive for 3 to 4 hours from kibale forest national park to Queen Elizabeth National Park. You will drive passing through several foothills of the rewardable Rwenzori Mountain. You will as well cross the equator at Kikorongo. Arrive at the lodge check in and have lunch.
Later on at 2pm go for boat cruise which is a 2-hour experience on impressive kazinga channel and be able to view several water birds, animals on water banks such as antelopes, elephants, buffaloes. crocodile, hippos many more.

Day 11: Morning and Evening Game viewing
After morning breakfast, you will drive to kasenyi plains for a game drive viewing, during morning hours it’s the best time to view the big cats when they are out for hunting for their prey. On your game drive in kasenyi plains, you can be able view lions, leopards on hunt, hippos, buffaloes, antelopes and many more. Back to lodge for lunch and relaxation.
Later on, drive back for game viewing and after go back for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 12: Drive to the southern part of Queen Elizabeth National PARK
Wake up and have a lazily morning game drive viewing en-route to the southern side of Queen Elizabeth national park in ishasha sector home to rare tree-climbing lions. Before driving to ishasha sector, you will after have lunch. After lunch go for search of unique tree-climbing lions, you will also see other mammals like Buffaloes, Elephants, Antelopes many more. Back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 13: Bush Breakfast/Game drive and evening Community walk
Wake up have a drive to our awesome Bush breakfast spot accompanied by an armed guide, you will be able to enjoy your morning breakfast in bush with a great viewing of the Ishasha wilderness sector which is so rewarding. After breakfast you will drive around the ishasha area in search of wildlife species such as bush bucks ,water bucks ,warthogs ,Uganda kobs ,Elephants as well as spotting some bird species ,remember there is still another chance of sight seeing the tree climbing lions which are seen hanging on the fig trees .Drive back to lodge for lunch and relax.
After relaxing you will be accompanied by the guide to visit the ishasha community projects. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 14: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National park
Wake up have breakfast and check out of the Park-Queen Elizabeth national park and drive to the south western region of Uganda a journey that takes 4 to 5 hours. As you continue with your journey you will go through the rolling hills with terraced gardens of Irish potatoes and tea plantations. You will arrive late afternoon, check in to the lodge. Bwindi Impenetrable forest national park is famously known as a home for half of the remaining mountain gorillas in the world. Back to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 15: Gorilla trekking and Visiting the Batwa trail
Wake up have to breakfast with your packed lunch box, your drive will pick you up from the lodge, drives you to the briefing point inside the park. After briefing meets the guide who will lead you to forest trailhead in the Buhoma sector to trek in one gorilla family in Bwindi impenetrable forest. This activity takes 30 to 8 hours trekking, depending on the location of gorilla and it requires body fitness. Once gorillas are found trekkers are given one hour to observe their lifestyle and their behaviors in the forest, take photos for your future remembrance. After trekking, you will return to the park headquarters and they award you a certificate of participating in these great apes of the world. Back to the lodge for relaxation.
Later on, go visit the Batwa trails and meet the Batwa people who used to leave with mountain gorillas in the forest before the area being gazette into a national park. You will be able to learn more about their amazing lifestyle, story, traditional dance also teach you how to prepare their local dishes. Day 16: Transfer to Lake to Bunyonyi
Wake up have breakfast and check out from Bwindi Impenetrable national park and drive to Lake Bunyonyi in kabale district a drive that last for 3 to 4 hours. Lake Bunyonyi is known as a place for small bird and Switzerland of Africa and is said to be the deepest lake in Uganda and second deepest in East Africa. Lake Bunyonyi offers a rewardable scenery of 29 island where you can visit and spot numbery of bird species and is the place to visit with no regret. And it is one of the best places in south western side of Uganda to relax after your gorilla trekking experience.

Day 17: Canoeing or Hiking-Lake Bunyonyi
After breakfast, you are free to admire the rewarding sights of the lake and its surrounding hills. On lake Bunyonyi, you can decide to either take a canoe ride to explore the different magnificent islands with amazing histories behind them. Like you can take a visit to punishment island meaning a place where young girls were impregnated from by men which acted as legitimate traditional marriage and could dump them there and leave to die. Apart from canoeing, you can engage in hiking one of the hills around the lake Bunyonyi. After return to the lodge for overnight stay.
Day 18: Drive from Lake Bunyonyi to Lake Mburo National Park
Wake up have breakfast, drive a 6-hour journey to Lake Mburo National Park having a stopover at Igongo culture center to learn more about the Ankole culture of western Uganda ‘’the ethnic group’’. Have lunch en-route at Agape in Mbarara town. You will arrive at Lake Mburo National park in the late evening have evening game drive where you will be able to spot impalas, Zebras, Giraffes and many more. Back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 19: Drive back to Entebbe International Airport
